Field Services
Vermont Gas
employs the most highly-qualified service technicians in the
area. Our team of certified technicians are trained to respond
to all types of appliance service issues -- from routine
inspections to complex repairs. Service technicians also assist
new customers by installing internal piping and providing
appliance hook-up services.

Distribution and Maintenance
Working closely
with our Operations professionals, Sales and Marketing team, and
Field Services technicians, the Distribution and Maintenance
department employs a dedicated group who are responsible for
building and maintaining our distribution system. Welders, heavy
equipment operators, crew and crew leaders are among these
highly skilled individuals who are dedicated to the safe
delivery of natural gas from the Canadian border to our
customers.

Finance and Administration
Finance and
administration is responsible for all accounting functions,
financial audit, meter reading, administrative support, and
information technology at Vermont Gas. These responsibilities
provide support and information to Vermont Gas' employees,
customers, and shareholders.

Sales and Marketing
The Vermont Gas
marketing team takes the lead in expanding service to Chittenden
and Franklin county homeowners and businesses interested in
clean-burning, efficient natural gas. This group of skilled
professionals informs prospective customers about the benefits
of natural gas, enabling the customers to choose gas with
confidence.

Customer Service
Our customer
service area includes a team of call center representatives with
a diverse skill set to handle a wide variety of customer needs.
From helping a new customer begin service with Vermont Gas, to
prompt scheduling of a certified technician for appliance
repair, these representatives provide and initiate the service
Vermont Gas customer's have come to know and rely.

DSM
DSM is focused on
what happens on the customer’s side of the gas meter. This
department tries to influence how and when customers use gas to
create a demand profile that can be served the most
economically. Typically, DSM for VT Gas consists of encouraging
efficiency improvements. Since the peak demand is for heat in
the winter, the most cost effective measures are either
mechanical heating efficiency improvements or building
insulation and air sealing.

The operations
area includes a team of engineers, technicians, and managers who
monitor and maintain our transmission and distribution
pipelines. These professionals are committed to the safety and
reliability of the system.

Gas Supply and Regulations
The Supply and
Regulatory function is responsible for acquiring and managing
the delivery of natural gas to Vermont Gas' customers. This area
also interacts with the Vermont regulators, establishes retail
rates, and administers Vermont Gas' energy efficiency programs,
and manages the Company's relationship with its large industrial
customers.
