Network & Systems Administrator

The Network & Systems Administrator is responsible for all network and server infrastructure at VGS. This includes overseeing all firewalls, routers, and server hardware. This position will work closely with the Support and Infrastructure Team to ensure system availability. A successful candidate will have a customer-focused perspective and a dedication to continual improvement.

Facilities Locator

The primary responsibility of the Locator is to work independently to safely complete locate requests for Vermont Gas underground facilities. Additional responsibilities include updating GIS, as-built maps and collecting information on missing, lost, or unrecorded facilities.

Service Technician

Responsible for installations, adjustments and repairs, and responding to complaints on an emergent basis. The service technician sets, removes seals and unseals simple gas meters, regulators, purges lines, checks meter indexes and gas outlets. Expected to perform regular inspection checks of all gas devices.

Gas Controller

Monitor and control the transmission and distribution systems. Forecast gas demand, manage the supply portfolio, and procure short term supply to ensure maximum profitability while maintaining system integrity. The Gas Controller is an entry level position in the gas control department. It is expected each individual will work toward full competency as outlined within this position description and move to the position of Gas Controller.
