GIS Intern

Vermont Gas Systems is seeking a qualified Geographic Information Systems Intern to assist in a multitude of GIS and Engineering projects. The right candidate will have had coursework in Geospatial Technologies and or engineering or a closely related field. This position will be working as part of the Engineering Team to assist in data collection, data management, map production and other tasks as assigned or needed.


Equipment Operator

We are looking for an equipment Operator to perform work with our gas distribution maintenance team. The right candidate will work well in a team environment and is committed to safety. The individual will be responsible for the safe operation of all construction equipment used by the Company such as small excavators, backhoes, trenchers, dump trailers, etc. Also responsible for performing first echelon maintenance and repairs of construction equipment used in main and service work on natural gas pipelines. Individual must become Natural Gas Certified, pass Operator Qualification tests, and possess an unrestricted, valid motor vehicle license with a clean driving record, preferably with a Class A CDL.  Operators at Vermont Gas are responsible for digging around utilities, working in the trench with their team to complete repairs, new installations, gas line replacements and retirements.  Ideal candidates will live within 45 minutes of Middlebury, Vermont.


Service Technician

Responsible for installations, adjustments and repairs, and responding to complaints on an emergent basis. The service technician sets, removes seals and unseals simple gas meters, regulators, purges lines, checks meter indexes and gas outlets. Expected to perform regular inspection checks of all gas devices.
